for some reasone my driver side door lock will not remotely lock. i have to manually push the actual lock in order to make it function right. it has no problem when unlocking remotely. it seems like whatever activates the lock is too weak to lock the door. is this something that i have to go to the dealership to fix or possibly just order something online and fix the problem myself?

this happened to me when i changed my door speakers, for like a week I had 2 put my window down to open my door from outside, u just have to take the door panel off its like 5 screws, then you will se to cables running to where u usually open the door one is black and the other ones whit im not quite sure which on is which but one is to open the door and another one is to lock/unlock the door, in ur case I guess one of them is loose

i've tried taking off the door panel off and checking the wires out, but the thing is, when i use the remote or the button that automatically locks and unlocks the car, the locking part doesn't want to lock. i guess the solenoid, or whatever they use to push and pull that wire that locks and unlocks the door doesn't have enough power to push (which locks the door) but when i remotely unlock the door it unlocks fine. i'm trying to find a more easy way then going to the dealership and having them fix it, i guess my warranty on the doors are voided since i put vertical doors on, according to the dealership. i'm just looking for possibly a replacement part for the mechansim that operates the locking system. is there anyone else out there that have had this problem or know how to fix it. again, i know for sure that the cable is not loose and it is on the correct way, there is something wrong with the actual locking mechanism.

hey bro, i have the same problem. it just slowely stoped working on me. all u need is an actuator. its basically the motor that pops the lock. they are not to cheep because everywhere u go they want to sell you the whole lock assembly. it will run around 150 at pick n pull. let me know if u get your hands on one because i need one to.
