i have a cobra that picks up ten bands. it out performed a guy driving next to me with a passport (model unknown). i slowed down cause a Ka band popped up. he kept going and i saw his brake lights about 4 seconds later.

What is a good brand/model for a radar detector? Right now i'm looking to buy either a Escort or Cobra from best buy, but just want to know which brand really works.
