I have been getting some real nasty squeeling form the drivers rear brake drum (i hate drums by the way). Do you think they need to be adjusted? or replaced? I have 60,000 miles on her already.
Also...if it just a matter of adjustment:
1.) how do you get the drum off? I have tried pulling but it won't budge. There are screw holes for a puller...does anyone know the size bolt i could use to get those off?
2.) What needs to be adjusted once it is open and how does it get adjusted?

The drums are a tight fit on the hub. This is to insure it being perfectly centered.

However, it can also make it hard to remove particularly if a little rust has developed. A littlle "liquid wrench" can help.

BTW I`m sure you must realize but, make shure your parking brake is off when attempting to remove the drum.
You would be surprise how many people forget about this little detail.
