Ok so I crashed my Celica August 25 2018 due to bad suspension and A hurricane flooding the roads I let it sit in my driveway until January 2019 I decided let’s build it and see if I can make my dream celica

I ended up having to buy full new complete suspension, Steering rack, front cv axels and a body kit. I ended up picking up a parts car for $1,200 I was able to salvage the k-member and the transmission housing I’m currently waiting for some parts to come in so I’ll update the post with more pictures as they come in and a full price list when it’s back on the road but until then let me know what you guys and gals think

Nice! Good luck with the rest of your build. This is the 2nd time I've seen a crash due to a suspension issue. Do you mind giving more detail on what had failed? I need to know what I should be looking for now that I got mine back on the road

I had GC lowering springs/Coilover and the threads backed themselves out on the front driver side made my wheel rub on the fender well and spin out of control in the rain. It partially my fault for not checking them again after getting them Aligned

I also have an 03 GT that want to make into my dream Celica, so I'm super interested in seeing your journey. Let me know how those Duraflex pieces fit. I need a new front bumper badly and want a Veilside one but they are expensive, so I was looking at the Vader bumper but don't want to spend a bunch of money on a bumper that won't fit.

I’ll be sure to let you know how it fits but honestly unless you spend $5,000+ your gunna have to do some work to make it fit (at least the way I’d want it to be flush and all) and fiberglass bumper isn’t the best thing for a first Time DIY but you can definitely do it with some time and effort

Do you already have the other mounts bolted up? When I did my motor swap, that was the first mount I threw the bolt in. I went rear, front, Pass side, Driver side and it went in fairly well with the driver side being the only one that gave me any trouble.

I currently have the old passenger side motor mount in for extra support but I’ll remove it and give it a try thank you

Thank you for the help I was able to get them in by doing the back mount first it was a pain in the a** getting the passenger side to line up but after a few stressful hours of me screaming at my car car I got it in ?

There's a little plastic dust cover that slides into that spot. It's been missing on most celicas I've seen. I found mine wedged by the tow beam. Fit really loose so I'm sure it fell off again. If you have any luck finding one, please share info. Only reference I've seen for it was in the MR2 forum:

Flywheel dust covers?
