LOL! With a baseline of 160-170awhp, on a conservative tune, on an even more conservative dyno, and with just a downpipe + tune as main power adders costing around 500$ with gains of 30+ awhp, your laughing? Hahaha..

Almost every stock STIs with 300 @ the crank had #s of 220-230awhp and a 2011 WRX rated 265 @ the crank dyno'd at a mere 207.

Stop hating :p

meh you're still talking about slow cars in general though....200 whp is OK in a 2300 lb honda (runs like low 13's)

200 whp in a 3200+ lb car?? hmm The gains are good sure...but the overall result is still lackluster

This.

The GTI I was looking at has just a tune and put down 223whp.

Which part of conservative dyno and conservative tune did you not get? lol
My tune was for better power than stock + better mpg than stock.

Same car(02-03wx) with same mods(dp+tune, sometimes w/up) on other dynos(dynojet etc) and or other shops are making 220-250awhp.

Not trying to claim the fastest car on the street but rather something I can enjoy every now and then while still being a dd.

With the UP, and CBE I just installed, it gained some more horses. Still need a tune to get the most out of it though.

Turbo inlet, turbo upgrade, bigger tmi, fuel pump and injectors are my next step but not after I do some handling mods.

PS.
Thread title was "Post Car and Mods". Didnt post my mods to try and brag.. just trying to show and tell... jeez lol

meh just don't mod it....sell it buy an STI or better yet an Evo...those transmissions blow...and those motors barely make power before they scatter all over the road. Fast 02-05 WRX is like a fast Celica ($$$$$$) with AWD that works sometimes (when it's not spitting parts over the road)

The WRXs that spits out parts on the road are either poorly moded, neglected or abused.

The tranny isn't the greatest but it does fine as long as not abused with repeated 4-5k launches.

There's plenty of 300awhp WRXs out there that are running strong and well taken care of.

Me, I just want somewhere between 250-280awhp while keeping it reliable and hoping for high mileage. This car is just for spirited dd. Not for track, not for street racing and not for freeway racing.

Its nice to be able to flex some muscle for the average contenders you'd run into but nothing crazy.

Next car I plan getting will be in the 25-30k range. Something like a 370z or Mustang GT. Unless I find a Supra that is unmolested and decently priced, I'll be sticking with my bugeyes.

With all that said, I think I'm fairly happy where I'm at now and what my next set of goals are with this car.

It's definitely an upgrade from my Celica GT or even a GTS. I think it also cost less to go higher power as well.

lmao it's a well known fact those cars transmissions are made out of glass and literally shear teeth off the gear....and the engines blow up fairly fast past 350 whp...Did I mention that the car weighs like 3300 lbs?? and has a cap of like low 300 whp?? There is no muscle to flex there....you showed up overweight and underpowered...

My car looks pretty much stock but I love the way it looks at night with the upgraded HIDs and the golden yellow fog lights. Definitely still turns heads 9 years later.

Check out my vids on YouTube search tek13187 haven't posted one with the intake and exhaust combo or the new ported box for the subs but tell me what you think.
