Both Amsoil and Redline out do Royal Purple in every test imaginable. Royal Purple is still better than most convential oils... but 'eh to each his own.

Friend of mine uses the Royal Purple and he swears by it.

This guy I know, uses this one stuff, and he says its the best EVAR

So do you have anything informational about the subject of gear oils to add to this thread? Or just shooting off at the hip about non related issues?

Dude, I was just messing around and pointing out the obvious. How less informative was my post than Immortal's? He laid out no factual evidence of anything just posted a general "i know this guy and he says XXX" statement. Anyone can do that, this is the internet.

The last thing we were talking about was tranny fluid/gear oil and NOT engine oil?

I take all those Amsoil tests with a grain of salt.

Those test are done by separate labs. Not affiliated with Amsoil. I am not an amsoil rep. I just use the stuff and have for years.

If you don't trust those, Maxima forums has numerous people that have done their own testing.
