running too rich at idle...

1641 Views 8 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  celicarida
well i got my pfc tuned and it runs like a champ. when i come to a stop, say a stop sign or light, the oil pressure drops real low almost to the point of stalling.

gas told me to change the first four squares in the top left corner on one of the maps.

my question is what map am i doing this in? IGN or INJ? the 4 squares in IGN are all at 24, INJ is at 100. my idle is set at 800, 850 and 900.

sorry if this is ubernoob.

is your o2 feedback turned on?

You need to change N2,P2 for the idle. Use the base map or INJ map. Lower the number to remove fuel.
thanks. ill go try it now.

why dont you ask MWR? i have that problem and can't figure out what it is. Someone said i might be running too rich.
I have the same problem too but my car is not tuned and im runing really rich .
Rolling Idle

What you are describing sounds like a rolling idle. A symptom of the vehicle running too rich. In the days of carburators, one of the tuning tricks was to richen the idle metering mixture screws until the car starts to "roll" then back off the mixture screws a turn or two.

Try to get your PFC tuned, then turn on the closed loop function.
I had the same problem on the MWR basemap. Using DYI's map sorted that problem out for me.
So you guys think its jus cuz of running rich wasnt dyi's map more rich?
