I was in Herndon. Saw it pull up to make a right turn going the opposite direction as me. DAMN that thing is LOW. It was a silver/gunmetalish color. VERY NICE!

The exhaust tone sounded a little 'raspy" than I expected. A more midrange echoing rather than a deeper tone. Probably due to the short exhaust piping.

I'd kill to have one tho!

Tried to get a pic with my camera phone, but that damn thing takes to long to setup! ARRGGGGHHHH!!

Might've been the same one that was at the FedEx autocross earlier this month. He still had dealer tags on there. He wasn't competing, but he Brian Garfield drive it a couple of times. On street tires, Brian was less than a second vs. his Mini S with Hoosiers. As far as I know, that was his first time driving the Elise, and his first time on the course. When the car showed up, people just flocked to it like it was some hot porn star. Bad ass car, but the wheels are too big, looks a little stupid on such a small car.

Yeah your ass is literally about 2" off the ground in that car. Very good "road feel" I imagine.

Awesome. I got one that beats it though. One day I was at work and I saw my very first Elise in the parkinglot, but that wasn't the car taht caught my attention... it was the Lotus 340R next to it! I sat there and gawked at it for a while before the guy came out and we chatted. Get this, the 340R was his and the Elise was his wife's. They had their two young sons with them also. I didn't know much about the 340R at the time so I asked him if it had the Toyota engine, he told me no that it had a Lotus engine in it as well as the Elise. Anyways I did a little research on the 340R and found that they only made 340 of them(!!) which makes them even more rare than an enzo. They have a 1.8L 190hp engine and weigh 1323lbs(!!!!!), this translates to a 0-60 time of 4.1-4.5 seconds and mid 12's in the 1/4 mile. Quite an amazing car... it's like an Elise except a level or two more extreme. Don't know how he got both cars through customs but he had a very strong british accent.

Anyways I did snap some pictures of both cars with my camera phone. Enjoy..

I saw it at Fed Ex as well. Sexy car, definitely easier to fit the tiny people like me! *hinting for xmas* :drool: I didn't realize that the seats would be so low or flat looking though.

Yeah, the design of the Elise definitely is more smoothe and sexy. The 340R is very aggressive and rough looking. A very purpose-built car.
