its better if u take it off and put it on then putting some kinda seal.. what if u wanted to take it off? or what if a person was persistent enough to keep trying to steal ur antenna.. all you would be left with is a shorter lightning rod

i know some people think its a nono to scar the "clean" look, but me, i used my dremel and engraved the base of my antenna and filled the engraving with silver... i like it, and hopefully people looking to make a quick buck wont steal it cause who wants one thats been engraved right?... so far it hasn't even ben loosened cause i check every once in a while... so i guess it's working
