1010 Views 22 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  alex93393
Okay guys your help would be greatly appreciated.

I need Pictures of SMOKED HEADLIGHTS (and the info from anyone who has done it on how bad it hinders light transmission)....SMOKED TYC TAILS....and Smoked Corner marker.

ALSO if possible a pic of Black Painted housing.

***I need these on a silver car if possible and IF ANYONE is willing to try a photochop of this on my car.....pleeeeasse i'm thinking of attempting this, this coming up weekend sometime***

I've done tails and sidemarkers so far....and it looks great
instead of smoking the headlights, why dont you just paint the housing black? all light output will be the same.
Thats the most likely thing i'm doing....i just wanted to see what it looks like......(also considering bats overlay for the headlight).

If anyone photochop it....i would be thankful.

P.S. which will look better Flat black, gloss black or silver housing (if i can get it to match the cars color?)
ive had both flat and gloss black...i ended up with LOW gloss black in the end. personally im not a fan of colormatched housings...unless your car is black ;)
i just hope it doesn't look like crap on silver....cause i really think it'll tone down the TYC's....and i'm going to tape the reverze light so it stays completely clear...and the corner is only getting like 2-3 coats of model tint, wetsand and cleared. same on the tails.
well it probably wont be as dark as your tails...but hell, id rather be able to see at night than to look cool during the day.
paint the insides of your headlights with graphite color paint. It looks sick. Lools dark, but not too dark for a light color car...matches CF well...or by itself..

yeah, drop that left nutt and go for it! worse case senario, you get a new headlight/taillight housing from a scrap yard for cheap/ or practice on your factory taillights before goin after the tyc's. Thats what ima do when i stop being so frickin lazy...

your lazy too huh , must be a georgia thing
how do you paint the housing of head lights? i was wondering if i should do it myself, or pay someone to do it? WHat color do you think would look good on a spec blue?
spec blue or black...do a search on "spray tint" or "Painting Housing"....there is guide in one of the older threads.....

Its not too hard, you just need to be patient....basic steps.....remove bumper...remove headlamps...Heat em'...pry em Paint em'....let em dry...heat em'....snap em together (possible add some epoxy)....re-install...anywhere from 2-8 hours depending on ur skill. ..... Just look up the guide...unless someone posts a link in here.
great, so an 8 hour job for me cuz i got no skills lol. thanx man
