Can it work? I read somewhere that it was only for manual. Any ways to make it work for the auto gts.

I don't see why not. You'd need to use a piggyback (e.g., EMU) to tune, but otherwise, it should bolt on and work fine.

I think some versions of the kit include a tuned ECU or some sort of "black box" that is wired to the ECU -- that wouldn't work with an auto in the former case, and may or may not in the latter case.

I asked two blitz dealers, and they said manual only. They got the info from the manufacture, and it has something to do with clutch.

either way, that shouldnt matter. I dont see what kind of difference a tuned ecu box or a clutch is going to make. Now if they said fit ment issues bc the auto transmission is bigger I would follow that ride for a little bit.

why even ask my advice on aim? as i and everyone said, the main issue should be the fuel management which is easily fixed with an emu as opposed to the "blitz ecu"

But why is fuel management an issue? Does the auto not shift as high up as a manual, bc the fuel map has to be based on maf readings and rpm.

If you have the money of course it can be made to work. You can pay Boosted2.0 to make a 1 off PowerFC adapter to hook up to auto celica, mount the Blitz supercharger kit and you are set.

lol that too. i am pretty sure there would be an issue with the "sport shift" function and possibly with rev limiter etc

I dont see why. Its just a piggy back box that you cant adjust. Plus if its just set for standard transmission the rev limiter would be higher. I dont think its a big deal plus you need to get something adjustable anyway.

ok after reading that it seems you could possibly bypass using the blitz ecu and use a piggyback then wire in relay to something else (an out on the new piggyback) to somehow activate at the correct time (whatever the blitz ecu wants it at). or use a WOT switch?

I wonder if you could hook up the hydra's nitrous function to activate the supercharger's clutch instead of say, activating a fuel or nitrous solenoid.

I don't see why not. A WOT switch should work fine. It'll just take a little experimetnation to set it up properly.

Can the Hydra control shifts? Wouldn't you still need a special harness to have it work in parallel with the ECU? He's probably better off with an EMU or AEM FIC.
