Ok here's where im at...

I got a 2002 Celica GT. Still 1zzfe with following mods...

255 Walbro Fuel Pump
Wiseco Pistons - 79.5mm Piston 11:1 compression
Crower Rods
CAI
DC Sports header
Catback Exhuast
Fuel Cooler

Motor was fully rebuilt about a month ago with all new internal, oil pump ect. by a well known shop.

It will be getting a new head installed on it before i buy the supercharger, using MWR valves, valve springs, and stock cams. It will also be recieving an apexi FC system so the A/C and emissions can be eliminated.

The primary use of the car will be for road racing so the suspension will be getting a good once over with all the nessasary stuff (Coil over, sway bar ect.).

Does anyone know of a supercharger kit that is real reliable and would be good for a small amount of boost (5 to 7 psi) and will bolt to the 1zzfe?
Please feel free to email me or post if you have any suggestions or know of any road blocks i might run into doing this mod. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for all your help guys. Was reading the fine print in the supercharger section of the parts catalog. Said a new throttle body was required as well as a new hood. Any one know where I can get those? Are they also TRD products?

Go custom! its very easy look at my post on Gt 140 custom supercharger! I used a M45 charger but I am running around 10psi give or take. going for the dyno in two weeks.

The conversion can be done for well under

That's a good price for the hood. My dealership quoted me at 1,200 brand new for the charger minus the ECU since apparently it won't work (even though this baffles me because the ECU is for the 1zz...)
You could pick up the matrix TB used for cheap and get the PowerFC.
It would much cheaper than turbo, but you wouldn't get much power out of it. Check the mr2 forums, they've been working with the charger and various pullys and got ~300whp I believe.

wow, with all that money to work with why didnt you get a gts?

sounds like you might easily be able to beat a gts by the time you're dont with it though....

sounds sweet, Good luck!

what were the gains for raising the compression?
Havent had time to get it on the dyno yet. Dont get me wrong, this motor is not like a MWR w/ 8:1 compression built on boost. Its more along the lines of using the s/c to push the motors to its limits within reason. When I get time to run to the dyno ill post it for you guys.

I was actually put in that situtation when faced with building what i have now or installing a 2zz. I built the 1zz for reliability reasons. Yea i could have swaped and it would have been great power but for the fact that i could simply push the 1zz harder with these parts and make enough power to easily beat 2zz's i went with the built. It basically comes down to how the motor will handle abuse.

how much money have you put into this car in parts so far?
About $3,900. Which included having the motor built.
