well im a communications specialist for the army and im going to tell you right now as long as you are in a big city area then the size of your antennae doesnt matter because the strength of the radio waves will be very high in the area. if your outside of town it might possibly make a difference (such as on road trips when you get out there in the middle of nowhere texas on the highway). but over all the s2000 antennae looks great on a celica so get it. it is worth the trade off.

oh niiiice.. i'm def. qoinq next yr =]

btw quick question.. since the S2000 antenna is just there, and the Celica one rises when in use, will it matter? cause i want to get one after i get my rims
Yes it does matter. mine had the power antenna, and youve got to find a static base and swap them out. requires removal of a few interior pannels. bought my static base from a member here who was parting out a wrecked car for 35$.

you will lose a bit of reception, but being in houston it shouldnt be noticeable. where im at i just get static 1/4 of the time.. but i normally just play cds anyway (could also me my jb welded bolt into my antenna)

I think it just took a flathead screwdriver, and a ?10mil? socket. did it in under an
hour
Mines not an s2000, its a billet from stubbyantenna.com

I didnt have the adapter so i jbwelded a bolt into it. thats why my reception is so weak.
but no, i love the way it looks. ive got cds and an ipod adapter anyway

if you got the retractable rc antena just dont use the antena =P
if you got the stock radio
then tape player connection will do =P did me just fine
if you got aftermarket stereo then definately try and get one with an AUX input or
get one with a rear AUX input and run the cables underneed the middle panel into the compartment/arm rest thingy and just place your Ipod in there

also here you go
