In my oppinoun the perfect celica would include the following.

The gts model
With a 2.0 litre engine making 200whp and 150 wtq at 9000rpm
A full coilover suspension
Lsd
Weight of 2000 lbs
18inch wheels and tires

Whats yours?

ALways fancied ripping of the little 1.8 and fitting a bigger lump like a cobra engine in the back and convert to 4WD if possible. Taking out the rear seats cus that power plant is hell of a lump. Completly redo the suspension. More C.F. parts rear hatch, front fenders, roll cage. 10" or 12" wide rubber on the back 9" on the front Custom mag 19" rims. 150 shot NOS in the front 4 large bottles. Tone of electronics cus I luv gadgets. Lambo door just for the sure hell of it. Some kind of Evil looking respray possible dark flip. Full Titanium exhaust and all the performance upgrades for the Cobra engine. That would be nice. This setup would piss over most things on the road. But the front / rear ballance would need to be looked at and some how ballanced out. If that can be sorted the celica would be one hell of a great looking supercar depending on what bodykit you go for. :gap: (kinda nice dream)

why do you want to throw away all that power with 18 inch wheels?
I would like a turbo AWD model.
Rwd version of what we have now with a sc. That would be nice.

why would you only want 200 whp ? I'd like to see about 230 whp N/A
a celica that can run 12's from the factory rwd...u gotta admit it does look like a 12 second car. pull at least 1g in the skid pad and brake like a champ. oh yea with the new trd kit but without the tail lights...

I hate the stupid plastic fake exhaust tip on the rear of the kit.
ST185 Celica All-Trac/GT-Four with about
300whp
2700lbs
I would say similar model and handling as we have now from factory. Similar NA engine with lift but with bigger displacement, thus creating more power. 200 WHP would be a good strating point. A RWD version and why not as light as an MR-2!!?

CURSE YOU!... hows the handling on those?
Two 2.0 2zz's Turboed, ported, cammed, 450whp each. One front, one rear. Custom widebody (about +4") that looks stock, but wider. Anthacrite SSR Comps 17x10. Carbon fiber everything except roof and inner body shell, but i would paint most of it, just a few highlights of cf peaking thru here n there. Two quaife sequential 6speeds. Obviously a full custom suspension, double wishbones all around if possible. I prefer to keep it looking mostly stock. I want only the trained eye to be able to catch it. Ummmmm, if I think of anything else I'll post it. lol
I would have to say, for me, the perfect Celica would be a 7th gen with a 3rd gen 3SGTE pushin 600 hp. It would also have AWD and 6 speed sequential.
Toyota actually made a 3s-gte AWD 7th gen for the show circuit, when they were first coming out. I think Rod Millen help with it.
