with a 225/40/18 set up you will be fine.

you will have a little bit of a wider tire with taller tire walls. it will look nice.

thatll do man. i have the same set up.
I would suggest a 225/40/18 tire, atleast thats what I'm running on.
225/40 is a good look. Low profile without being too low profile.
yup. if ur more then probably 1.5" drop u may rub when turning the wheel completely but 225x40's are perfect

will it rub because of the width of the tire or the height? i honestly dont know which set of drop springs i bought for her car it was 2 years ago, i know it was the lower of the two that eibach sells, plus there is a good bit of weight in the trunk from the stereo set up you still think a 225/40 will be ok?
ok they are the sportline springs, 1.8 front and 2.4 rear will that pose a problem? dont really want to buy tires, then they dont fit and im stuck with them

thanks for the help thus far everyone
your first post you said pro-kit springs, last post you said sportline. Assuming that you indeed have the sportlines due to the fact that you cited the correct drop for those and not the pro-kit (1.1"-1.2") you should be fine with 40 series tires. You may rub in the front at full lock but that is something to be expected when altering suspension and is easily avoidable by not turning the wheels all the way.

yeah my first post was wrong, the kit is indeed the sportlines

i got 225/40/18' tires, wit 1.6'' drop front, 1.8'' rear. personally i think i need lower profile like the 215/35's. i seem to rub on the rear struts, when i have pple in the back. the front does not rub.. heres a pic, on sidewall - hope it helps....

yea with that low i'd go with 215x35's. if u can get 225x35;s go for it but i never found a place. dont worth the risk
that sux i really wanted to go up from the 35 series to get just that little extra bit of rubber but guess i am stuck with the 215/35/18's yeha well

thanks for the help all
Falken makes a 215/40zr18, FK452's. I've got Ziex ZE512 215/35zr18's on my 18 inch thruxtons, and they are a sweet sweet tire. I do wish I had a little higher side wall though, but I think with the sportlines, you'll be happy with the 35, you've got almost and inch more drop than I do, I've got Pro kit, and my fenders are only about an inch and a half away from my tread.

Where you live? Order 40 series and I'll trade you for my 35's, only got 2000km's on then and mine are more expensive because of the lower profile, we can trade even. JK, hehehehehe
i have 225/35/18 set up with a 1.5 in. drop, runs fine. I would highly suggest the 40 size tires.
225/40/18 with a 2" drop ..rubs a little with the wheel locked but looks the best imo.

do you have a pic of your 215/35's? or interested in a trade? straight accross? i got about 95% tread left on my 18's, still new, let me know if interested.
Don't have any good ones, and my winter tires are on the car now, plus it's at the shop waiting for a new engine anyway. I'm at my girlfriend's for a few days and my summer set is at home. You'll want shots of them on the car, sorry I can't help there
225/40/18 on Hotchkis Springs KYB AGX struts awhile back. Rollers = Volk GT-N's 18x7.5. Worked well.
if you want to play it safe you can always go 215/40/18.
