Tranny rebuild

how much did it cost for the tranny rebuild...I need to do the same thing.

i didnt know that magic toyota installed after market parts.. How much for the flywheel install? what else have they installed for you? i wonder if they also can replace the internals with aftermarkets?

luckily i am still under the extended warranty so the rebuild was paid for, it would have been about 1800 if i would have had to pay for it. At least when i talked to the head tech guy he seemed to know what he was talking about when it came to the tranny which made me feel better about them rebuilding it. When i asked them to install my clutch and flywheel they just said ok. I would imagine they would install aftermarket parts for you especially if its out of warranty. This was my first time dealing with them I took my car to Rodland where i bought it last year when it started grinding but not as bad as it was now and they said it wasn't bad enough. So I said I am never coming back here again, saved up for a clutch and flywheel and went to Magic.

does that mean ur coming to the meet?

I think I would feel like an oddball probably being the only one over 25 (way over) lol. Besides I am gonna be gone all day sunday and my wife would probably get mad if I was gone all day saturday also. I will definately try to make the next one though Sorry to hear about your bad luck with your car, good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Well maybe next one I will come and bring my son he is only 21 lol. He has an SRT-4 now but he is talking about selling it and wants to get a rwd for drifting. Damn kids.

Im 27 and make all the meets I can...but I dont think im gonna make this next one...sorry guys. BTW..you sound like a cool dad...you gotta GTS w/ mods and your son drives an SRT-4...Ill be lucky if my girls are into motorsports as much as me...
