Is there any vinyl dye in like a spec blue or close to it , so that I could possibly dye the steering wheel.
So far the project is going good and I almost have the trunk done...

duplicolor offers a blue color which is pretty close to the spec blue, maybe a little lighter. I think that it might work with what you are trying to do.

Please post pics once you've done the steering wheel. I'd really like to see how it turns out. I'd do it myself, but I'm afraid of the dye 'bleeding' into the leather next to the dyed area. Thanks!

You should order a color chart from www.yourautotrim.com http://shop.store.yahoo.com/yourautotrim-store/semdye.html. This is actual vinyl dye. It's free and it actually allows you to see what the finished product looks like. They don't have anything called "spec blue", but I'm sure that they have something similar to it. Besides, you can take the sample chart out to your car and compare the colors. Or youcan go directly to the manufacture and ask them questions. www.semproducts.com. I hope this helps every one.

like i said: vs 5 Bright blue is now DISCONTINUED. i called dupli color to verify this.
