Who's voting today?

It only takes a few minutes to vote, so you might as well do it whether you're pissed off or whether you think everything is going great.

Al is right, VA should be split.
Maybe just redo the border between WV and VA to include a lot more of VA in the WV portion. Then leave NOVA as "New Virginia".
I voted in MD and was pissed off to see that one of the amendments was to only allow jury trials for cases whose $$ amount exceed 10,000. That's a bunch of crap. People should have a right to a jury trial in any criminal case, not only 'big' ones. I guess it's my fault for not knowing about this earlier.

What I'm saying "fvcking VA" to is the ballot issues, some might disagree with me, but the marriage deal...wtf? Why is it necessary to ammend the consitution to say marriage is between a man and a woman and not recognize civil unions and domestic partnerships?
Apparently ~57% of the virginia voters thought it was necessary. Then again, almost half of them voted for a racist Californian who pretends to be from Virginia, and wears a cowboy hat. He must have Virginia confused with Texas.
Another reason why we should be split.
at least MD seems to be swinging back to the Dems again. Lots of people are pissed over the war and it seems thats whats fueling the Dem vote, but as we see from VA's marraige amendment, there are other issues on peoples minds as well.

But i'm going to quote Jake on this issue. I'm actually GLAD this went through. Because its going to speed its progress to the Supreme court, its going to befound discriminatory, and WHAMMO, gay marraige for everyone.

These conservatives are shooting themselves in the foot. They should have let it be as it is.

If it happens soon enough, maybe Jake and I can get hitched before we both go back to our fraudulent heterosexual relationships.

...I've said too much
But we must protect the sanctity of marriage! It is a holy institution! In unrelated news, Britney spears just filed for her second (hetero) divorce.
Sanctity. :chuckles: Sanc...tity. :chuckles:

I don't think this will happen, as long as they maintain the mindset that being ghey is a choice. There are loopholes for discrimination...well, F. loopholes. VA just made it law. :shrugs:
w00t my peoples won.

I guess thats good. Now I have no one to blame but me......and everyone else in this state.

I think you'd be surprised by the constitution of most states. It's a show.

That *******. :furious: :wtc::sadpace:
Took me about 20 min to vote, once at the machine. Not aided my the fact that my son had to push the touch screen buttons for me. :chuckles:

The thing that I believe needs revision with voting is the amendments/laws that they are proposing. Those need to be written in simple english, with an option to read in depth the actual verbage. Maybe I'm not an educated voter going in, but while there I take the time to read and make my selections as I see fit. I believe I have a firm grasp on the language, a HS and 2 college degrees and I could hardly understand the meaning of a couple of them. There is no way that most of the circus sideshow I saw in there knew what they were voting for.
In MD, Republicans were passing out "Democratic Sample ballots" with Erlich and Steele checked.

Glad those guys lost. Shady candidates preying on the fact that 1/4th of all Americans are retarded... :chuckles:

Yeah, but we CHOOSE religion and we aren't allowed to discriminate based on religion either. In fact last i checked this country was suppposed to be about deciding your religion without having laws dictating it.

Erik Markle, one of the people handing out literature for Ehrlich, who is seeking reelection, and Steele, the current lieutenant governor who is campaigning to replace retiring Sen. Paul Sarbanes (D), said he was recruited at a homeless shelter in Philadelphia.

After a two-hour bus ride to Maryland, Markle said the workers were greeted early this morning by first lady Kendel Ehrlich, who thanked them as they were outfitted in T-shirts and hats with the logo for Ehrlich's reelection campaign. Nearly all of those recruited, Markle said, are poor and black. Workers traveled to Maryland in at least seven large buses.
and people wonder why I didn't vote for him :jerkoff:
