I don't think they're really any larger than our stock brakes?
Youre right but Im thinking of just the calipers, i know for sure the pads are bigger.

Well I'd love to see a side by side of the MR2 and Celica calipers and pads.
If you just want a bigger surface brake pad, you can use the 03-08 Corolla brake pad. They use a bigger pad but the caliper bore, rotor size, rotor thickness, wheel lug is the same size as the Celica. The 91 MR2 turbo brake pad is bigger, but I see their rotor is smaller at 258MM and thickness is different.

Im referring to the 93 mr2 turbo. The front calipers are 2 piston on rotors that are the same diameter as the celica and just a couple mm thicker.

mr2 turbo rotors

I am just unsure of the mounting holes of the caliper. If they are the same and can be directly swapped it should make for a slight increase in stopping power. Right?

Although i am more interested in the avensis brakes, just wish they were easier to obtain here in US.

03-08 calipers too or just the pads?
So the 03-08 calipers and pads seem like a cheap easy readily available upgrade IF the calipers/brackets bolt on. Are the rotor dimensions the same (dia and thickness) between the two? I know the previous Corolla used the same rotors and pads as the Celica, I donated some of my old parts to someone for their fiancées Corolla.
