Hey I'm curious what everyone's getting currently for their MPG, I looked around and it sound like some people get much better mileage than I do.I'm driving a 2000 Manual Gt with 160,000miles on it,Pretty much everything is stock as far as I know and I drive easy, no jump starts. Always around town but I dont sit around at lights to long and I try to roll to lights rather than hit the brakes while going 35mph. I currently am getting about 21-23mpg:puke: on this winter fuel and over the summer i still only get around 25. Most I've gotten was about 31 and it was all highway driving. Im trying to figure out how to get better mileage, I also want to increase the torque somehow, suggestions on both are appreciated :]

I have a 2000 manual GT, 75K on it. It depends on my driving style but typically around 30mpg, give or take a few. The worst I've ever gotten was 25mpg with a lot of spirited driving, letting it rev higher, etc. The best I've gotten was I believe 34 or 35. The last fill-up netted me 32mpg I believe.

It's bad because its engine is old (original engine) and is carburated. This will change when I finish the project later this year. :naughty:

GT-S gets 26-27 mpg all city, depending on how often I hit lift.

I rarely got over 20 in my GTS. Lift, lift, lift.

Carburetor? 'Nuff said.

Only 21-23 mpg in a GT for the OP? That's awful. When my brother drove my GT he pretty regularly got 30-32, all city driving. When he borrowed my GT-S he got 34 all city! When I drive I'm lucky to get 24 on the highway lol. Too much of a lead foot.
