Got a problem with offset. I have 18x8 wheels with 225/40 tyres. Problem is the wheel offset is 32mm.

Now at normal ride height this is not a problem, however, with the car lowered, the rubber bumps against bumper join and the rear guard. It is the section under the rear guard towards the rear of the vehicle with a bolt joining the rear bumper cover.

Anywone else suffer from this problem? What can I do to fix it? Would it be wise o shave the wheels to correct the offset? What would be the optimum offset for an 18x8 with 225/40 tyres??

35 offset will work fine. my friend has ssr integrals that are 18x8, 225/40/18 tires - trd drop - no problem
i have 225/40/18 on 18.7.5 - 37 offset, trd drop no problem.
so at least 35 should be fine.
