I went to my bank and I was told that they don't know where I can regester for a pay pal acount. I tried looking online but it brings me to an error page.
Can someone link me to the pay pal site? And is it only for ebay use or can I use it for anything online?

you can use you paypal anywhere..its just like a free checking account and you can get the option to get a debit card. i have a paypal debit card and i use it from time to time. its definitely a good thing. charges show up faster than a normal banks charge. alot of online places have the paypal as a form of transaction..i've bought a couple parts with that account.

yeah, if you dont get the paypal debit card (which I want to get) then you have to wait for funds to transfer from your paypal account into your bank account (3-5 day wait usually..but its free ), the paypal card would be MUCH easier. You can use Paypal on ebay, lots of E-storefronts have paypal shopping carts, you can use it to buy parts here in the FS forum and from vendors/sponsors (it really helps when you can use it instead of sending a money order overseas for JDM parts :naughty: )

Pay Pal is great and I have had an account for years with absolutely no problems.

A bit of advise:
Eventually you will have to "Verifiy" your Pay pal account by giving them some info about your checking account. This is nessary after you spend $1000 I believe and verifies that you are exactly who you say you are.
Anyway, the info you supply is the same that anyone can see on one of your checks so you are not giving them any secret info.
If you do not have a checking account, get one. There are completely free ones avalible and are indispensible at times.

Once you are eventually "verified" you will still the option of paying with a credit card instead of your checking account which is my preference. I pay my CC bill in full monthly and this way, it is much easier to keep track of my spending and not let it interfere with my checking account.

I do everything through paypal, I've probably racked up over $7500 in expenses on there. I had to finally upgrade to a premium account last month.

also if you buy a lot of stuff online and you get ripped off its eaiser to get money back as oppsed to a money order or cashiers check
