Which Gauges... (Brand, Type, Pics, Etc) Lets See Your Gauges!

so you people who now have boost in your car.. which gauges did you guys put and what brand are your gauges?

as of now i only have a boost gauge..

thats An Autometer 52mm Carbon Fiber Ultra Lite Series -30 HG Vac to +20 PSI connected on a Autometer Dual 52mm Pillar Pod Add-on.

the gauge does the job.. and its a good gauge already as it is.. and autometer has been around for a while so u know their stuff works.. however.. i'm planning to go past the max posted boost (20psi) on this gauge.. so i'm in search of new set of gauges.. i'm thinking about getting Greddy 60mm Electronic Peak Hold.. Boost (2bar (30psi)), EGT, Coolant Temp..in silver face.. i would get the black or white face but only the silver one's light up like my stock dash/gauge cluster.. and i would replace my tacky, wack dual pillar pod add-on.. i have an a-pillar replacement here.. its a triple pod but only meant for 52mm gauges.. gonna have to bore this b!tch out.. :)

they arent the most bling-bling ones compared to the other ones out there from Defi, HKs, Omori, Blitz, Apexi, etc.. but they are nice and simple, not to mention not as expensive as the others, and do the job like the other ones. But believe me.. if i had $$$$$ i would definitely go for Defi Gauges.. :pimp:

"The BF Series is similar to the Link gauges but has a unique "masked" look that hides the gauge face until the car is started. These gauges are more expensive than the regular Link gauges due to the special lens used to create the masked look of the face."

show ur gauges :)

pics for those curious..

i personally like the dc series..

The electronic Racing Meter DC (Digital Compact) series is one of the most unique gauges on the market. These meters feature a depth of less then 1-inch, and weight 38grams. This allows the DC meters to be mounted almost anywhere in the vehicle. These meters require the use of the Live Unit. Racing Meter DC are only available in 60mm, meters are available in black and white. All meters come complete with all sensors, fittings, and hardware. Available in white, black, and blue.

not too big of a fan or their i-d series..

The mechanical Racing Meter i-D (Illumi Drive) series features a unique illumi drive backlit lighting to increase visibility in both day and night time. These meters also come with easy to read fonts and non-reflective glass lenses. The iD series meters are available in 60mm and 52mm in white, blue, and black. All meters come complete with all sensors, fittings and hardware.

and the BL series..

"The mechanical Racing Meter BL (Black Light) series is the only meters on the market today that features an unique black light lighting. A black light bulb is installed in the front of the gauge; this process gives the meters a unique purplish lighting on the BLITZ logo. These meters come with easy to read fonts and non-reflective glass lenses. The BL series is available in 60mm and 52mm. All meters come complete with all sensors, fittings, and hardware."

I don't care about "Bling-Bling." I just care about what works and how much it costs. Autometer Ultra-Lite, boost, oil temp, and oil pressure are what I have.
I'm interested in the greddys as well, but i perfer the black faces (and those dont light up amber like the silver)
here is a story about autometer gauges. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=509539&page=1

i guess every thing has its small flaws here and there, and all products have their defects.
i got the apexi el2 black face boost and egt gauges...Just waiting for xs kit...ahh waiting sux

Get the Greddy gauges because autometer EGT probe sometimes gets sucked into the turbo which is not good, Greddy probe do not have this problem. Since you are boosting you will definately want a EGT gauge with probe.
I am not sure about other gauges but this is the information I got.
Click on my link on my sig. and you'll see a couple of pics. of the gauges I have, EGT and boost. I have the same gauges in the Celica and the ZO6.

All I have to say is, "Rigggghht." You're going off of one honda boy's story. Did you ever think to yourself the problems he had were from something else?

How does a threaded probe get sucked in? If that happened, someone didn't install it correctly.

If you think spending hundreds of dollars on a couple gauges is going to get you "special super gauges" then by all means go for it. But to me, the extra money is only going to get you two things, extra features like peak/hold (which are admittably good and useful features), daisy chain installation (Defi's unique way of hooking everything up making life just a little easier) AND "Bling-Bling" i.e. reverse gauges with fancy lights, etc.
peak/hold is nice for tuning.. definitely useful.. but yes.. autometer gauges, though not as bling bling as the others.. have been very well proven gauges.. and not anything negative about them.. however.. i have heard about their EGT probe's being not as good as the others.. again from wat i hear/read..
I bought the Apex-i EL Series Boost and EGT Gauges!! Just patiently waiting for DA Sports.;)
apexi anyone?

they are nice.. except i don't like how it lights up the whole face.. but i think they look good in the day time..

i got the greddy egt and boost gauge now i just need a turbo kit lol
I would like something different than Autometer. but i will end up with Autometer phantom gauges.
The Blitz are very bright thats what attracted me to them.
I like the look oof the blitz DC my self. But where to get them at a fair price.I can't see spending 200 bones on a I say a like one gauge! Not me can't do it~Brad
I personally think that Greddy gauges are the best looking. I love how the Apexi lights up blue but I quite enjoyed my Greddy gauges. I had Boost, EGT, and Oil Pressure.
