Hey everyone, I had a quick question.
My dad has a jvc cd player in his truck and someone broke into it and messed up the faceplate so now it's all messed up. Only the faceplate tho and was wondering if i were to buy only the faceplate for the same model and all, should it work? Or will he have to just get a new player in all? any info would be greatly appreciated. lates

You need to contact JVC to get a definate answer, but some brands like SONY and Pioneer make the head unit so it only functions with the faceplate it came with, to deter theft. If it was that easy, there'd be no point in having a detachable face, the theif could just rip off your radio and go buy (or steal) someone elses faceplate.

Also, you made need the reciept to order the face plate. Depending on the age of the head unit, it might be cheaper to just get a new head unit altogether!!!!
