i know the over all diameter is smaller

i dont see how they are going to be bad for your car but the profile is just a little smaller than stock.

I think the only downfall is you will have a bigger wheel gap...besides that, looks good!

I'm running the 215/45-16 Azenis on my stock rims. No problems at all and I love them. You'd be better off with the lower diameter 215/45 than the higher diameter 225/50 in my opinion as you want to improve your gearing not decrease the performance.
