My windshield washer spray is not working! I filled up the windshield washer fluid but nothing is spraying. Is there any way I can fix it myself or figure out what's wrong without having to go to a mechanic?

I recently sprayed degreaser on my engine and I hope this is not the cause of it.

I had the same problem... If the hoses aren't pinched or clogged I would replace the pump. It's located on the reservoir right inside the passenger side front wheel well. You have to take the wheel well cover half off to get to the pump comfortably.

x2. That happened to my hose. It runs up the left side of your engine bay. I had the hood pinching it everytime i closed it, so it never worked. :marky:

You better hope it doesn't turn out to be the same issue that I had to deal with recently: http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=338760
That doesn't sound so bad.

I had a broken wire causing my pass side side marker to be out, and under my battery tray in the main engine harness found about 10 wires with exposed copper. Separated them, slathered in tar, good to go.

I see washer pumps fail at work all the time, it's probably the pump. They're cheap, try putting one in. If it's not then go about checking other things.

Any tips for adjusting the spray nozzles themselves? I'd always heard to use a sewing needle. But they break. *Laugh*

Thanks.

Stronger needle. :gap:

1
Get a pin.
2
Shove the pin into the nozzle of the windscreen wiper.
3
Wiggle it about a little.
4
Aim the nozzle for where you want the water to land.
5
Test it. Repeat if this hasn't worked the first time.

Well that's what's always worked on every car for me. Maybe try something less brittle? A safety pin perhaps or a sewing pin rather than needle?
