How's this for a waste of efficiency...

It's hard to tell and yes the quality of the second vid is poor, but damn, if I didn't tell you that was a fully built (albeit untuned) motor, nobody would be able to tell the difference

Needless to say, I can't wait till my new gearbox arrives in the spring.

Mieh, at least it sounds better now though :fawk:

It sounded like your car pulled pretty hard in first gear during lift in the second vid. GL hope everything's better after the new tranny. Are you planning on getting LSD?

Yeah no, it was pulling hard last night, but when I look back on these vids, it doesn't look like anything special at all. But then 1st vid = perfect shirts, 2nd = um...lol

haha, just compared my car when stock, to last nights vid and from 20-65 on the speedo, the old vid is one or two tenths quicker, albeit with a much better shift. ahhh crap, i need a new box so bad. what a waste otherwise.

No, no lsd planned due to finances. I can't justify buying one for a car primarily built to go fast in straight lines, when I've already got an ST205 celica as my other car anyway which never wheelspins...ever :chuckles:

lol, ok i'm thinking that really bad exhaust flow/turbulence at the axel back is now causing me problems with lift. The rev limiter kicks in now at just over 7000rpm because of the exhaust leak (I forgot to remove the doughnut gasket off the connection from mid-to-axelback when I went unbolted) and now it blows through there.

When I remove the axelback off the car, lift works fine, but now with the blow, it has affeced performance in lift.

Something to remember if anybody else does this or has lift problems...

That's what I used to think, but after a friend of mine had trouble with lift working on his Greddy Ti exhaust, I've kind decided that this would be the reason for my car.

On ym friends car, with the baffled removed, or on the stock exhaust, lift was fine. On my car, today I even tried a 1zz axel back and lift worked fine (I borrowed my friends doughnut gasket). Maybe lift on my axelback is now weird because I've got exhaust paste acting as a makeshift gasket until a new one comes from the dealer and it's causing all sorts of extra turbulence...I dunno. Also hits lift fine without the exhaust on.
