I took my car in to the dealer today for an oil change and alignment. They said it'll be ready by 12 pm and @ 12 they called me and said they cracked my bumper. I was like okkk (thinking it probably only a minor crack) When I got there, the ****ing front lip is like ripped. I WASSSSSSS FURIOUS, BUT KEPT CALM. They said they'll fixed it, but they'll have to keep the car for a couple days, and since i'm under 21 they can't rent a car out for me. WTF, that's my only car, so i'm SOL. One ****ty thing is that the manager (didn't really said it out) said that they couldn't afford fixing things like this if it happens w/ my car again. So it's be wise if i raised my car back up or kind of find another place. How **** up is that?? All I have to say is, they better fix it good, or i'll be all over their asses.

Well, same thing happened to me. They ended-up fixing my front bumper and painting it. They had my far for one week to replace the headlights (and all the $hit they broke). That's why I only go to the dealership for warranty items.

It is only right that they said they won't work on your car unless you raise it back up. They are not there to work on modded cars. If you lower you car then you best find a place that can work on lowered cars. It is none of the dealers concern to work on modded cars unless they were the ones that put it on you in the first place. That is why I don't take my car to the dealer.

Sorry to hear about your bumper.

They should have never accepted his car in the first place then... you don't take something.. break it.. and then say that its the customers fault that they brought it there.

They never said from what he wrote that "it is the customers fault", all they said was "i recommend you raising your car next time or if you want to bring it back here for us to work on it." They said they would pay for the damages and fix it. After that if he plans on bringing his car back to be worked on to either raise it or take somewhere else. Which is a fair thing for them to say for future reference. I was going to take my car a while back to the acura dealer to get some work done, but before I made an appointment I asked them if my car being lowered would be a problem and they said yes, and I said bye.

You tell'em Eugene. They have a right to refuse service to you because your lowered car may not be compatible with their lift and they do not want to be responsible for future damages. Since they accepted the car this time, they are responsible for the current damages and have agreed to get ti fixed free of charge. If you are lowered with TRD stuff, then you may have a case with them refusing you service.

There's a first for everything, and I've learned from it :D. I was pissed since i just put my kit on like a few weeks ago. Hopefully it'll turn out like when i bought it.

Law: how do you go about doing alignment on your car?
