why are there bride seats that are made in taiwan and japan?

are they the same companies cuz they have the same logo and make the same exact seats?

the ones from taiwan are still expensive just not as much as the japanese ones, the quality must still be good correct?

anyone have any insight on this?

i was under the impression that real brides were only made in japan, and the ebay ones just say taiwan for validity, but the quality is complete ****, but i could be wrong. my friend bought "taiwanesse" bride seats one time and the stitching was really sloppy. they were pretty cheap though, like 250 a seat, so maybe we're not talking about the same thing.

My friend had a replica for his passenger while he had an authentic Bride Zeta. Within a few months, the replica had faded from an identical looking red to a lighter shade and it was very noticeable.

I've also seen/heard horror stories of these replicas folding like cardboard when you get into a crash. If it's safety equipment, I'd rather not cheap out and get replicas. Bride DOES test crash their seats and maintain a high standard. Yes, they're pretty damn expensive but aside from brand whoring there is a reason for that price.
