Cargo Question

This fall i'm buying a 2001 toyota celica gt-s six speed manual. I'm going to put subs in it, but I can't find the cargo dimensions on the web. I want to put in two 15" FI BTL subs which requires a lot of space.

Below is the info on the sub:

DUAL 2
Fs: 36.3 Hz
Re: 1.4 Ohms/coil
Qms: 7.14
Qes: .28
Qts: .27
Mms: 275g
Sd: 810cm^2
Vas: 64.4 l
Spl: 92.4dB1W/1m
Bl: 25.1 N/A
Xmax: 28mm *
Rms: 2000W *
Sealed box: N/A cuft
Ported box: 2.5-5.0cuft
Sub OD: 15.625”
Cut ID: 14.125”
Mounting depth: 9.625”
Displacement: 0.14cuft

What I really need to know is the length, depth, and height of the trunk. If anyone could get the measurements for me it would be greatly appreciated. I know that the cubic foot is 16.9, but that doesn't do much for the other things I need to know.

Thanks. :whip:

Should fit just fine. I used to have a 4 cu. ft. Ported box in the back, had some room left over. It'll all depend on the box you get though. I think it's like 3.5 ft wide at the narrowest, 3 ft deep and 2 ft high. Removing the cargo cover could net a few more inches. Keep in mind that this is just my estimation, don't have the celi near me at the moment

True story.

Unless you're going to upgrade your ENTIRE system to make it loud enough to hear anything over those subs it would be a waste of money. Also, you'd go deaf pretty quick! I have 2 12" Infinities in my truck in a box that's about 3 feet long, 1 foot tall and 1.5 feet deep. I have decent space in front of them for other things, especially if I put my seats down. I have my amp at normal low settings and I have my bass/subs turned down all the way on my head and it's sometimes still too loud for quality listening. I only have a 720 watt amp too.

Be realistic with your subs, you'll look like a fool with a rattling car and no one wants to hear whatever the heck you'd want to bump on 2 15s!
