common problem. probably just need some new shocks. but check to make sure the shocks you have now are installed correctly before you do anything. a while back i had to get some body work done which involved taking the hatch off and when i got it back it wouldn't stay open. turns out they installed one of the shocks backwards so it wasn't extending all the way. and they wanted ME to buy new shocks($$$). needless to say they felt like retards when i brought it back to them and showed the pros how to fix it.

and yes, it is your shocks. Just take it toyota and they'll pressurize it again for ya.

welcome to cold weather. mine do that too in cold weather, they are fine in hotter weather though.

screw spending 200 bucks on keeping your trunk open, keep the shocks and install a rod to keep it open like you would keep open the hood of your car

i say keep a pair of vicegrips in ur trunk and clamp it on when u open ur trunk haha, mine falls down cuz i got that kaminari wing and that ****s heavy haha

100shipped for brand new pair ..if it doesn' hold up in the winter with stock spoiler..u need new one for sure..it's getting weak..i have trd rep wing weight 14lb and mine doesn't hold up but with stock spoiler it'll hold up..even in the winter..

forget a mop, get one of those yellow wiffle bats, it fits perfectly and long enough to get it almost fully open.
