celica's weight

According to wiki, the curb weight of the celica is 2425 lbs.

I got a smog check today and on paper it says the car is weighted at 2875 lbs ? how is that possible? My pink slip also says something similar. I got an amp and subwoofer but I know they're rougly 50-70 lbs max, so that can't be it. I could subtract the weight of the person doing the test smog but that is still not right. My car is a GT. My gas tank was only 1/3 full.

what do you guys get for your tested weight?

Celica GT-S, loaded 6-speed model, one bar of fuel, no spare or tools:

1st time: 2436 lbs
2nd time: 2404 lbs (lightweight wheels & tires).

Are you sure that number isn't the GVWR.

You do realize that most smog machines only have a part of the car on them and not the whole thing, right? It's not a scale, it's the gross vehicle weight.

My celica has the same weight ~ 2900lbs...
I assume that this is because it's european celica (from Germany)
