i don't know anything about it. it must be small like an mp45 or a weak trd 4psi one or something for it to be ignored by this forum...

if you look at the routing of things that should be a top mount intercooler

about 2 years ago i was in london and i hooked up with the UK arm of the club i am in over in Australia ..... lucky for me toyota HQ had an open day for the club and we got to look around at the new models at the time which one of them was a T-sport.

Some of the photo's i took are below ..... under the big plastic engine cover is only the engine .... no top mount intercooler ..... not to sure if the big grey piece with the word "compressor" written on it is what ur refering to .... maybe it is ..... the last picture is a conversion one of the toyota engineers that was there to answer any of our questions had done .... a 2zz lotus flavoured engine in a catherman .... sounded insane.

From the ECU perspective its a pre-mapped OEM factory ECU ..... nothing to hard for toyota to make themselves ..... i have seen the TTE kits on ebay UK for 1700 pounds i think it was which includes the ECU but seriously as i stated before .... is it really worth it with all the options available to u in the US.

on a side note .... the entertainment which was provided by Toyota UK ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXW84hKVrYc

i'm wondering something. i know that engines that come stock with a turbo are easier to turbo charge because that's what they're made for, they have a lower compression ratio, etc. Does the same thing apply for supercharged engines like this one? Like, if someone were to take the supercharger off this engine and put smaay's kit on it, would it be a beast of an engine, or would you have just as many problems as you normally would?

nah mate u dont get any added advantages due to the fact that this is s/c out of the factory .... it literally is the same 2zz engine with just a s/c slapped on it with a mild tune ..... this is what the engineers explained to me ..... and it shows through the power figures .... n/a the car has 190hp with the charger it only goes up to 225hp however it helps it out dramatically in the torque arena jumping to 230NM @ 3600rpm compared to 180NM @ 6800rpm ..... the thing to note is that this is practically the exact same setup that is seen in the 240R lotus (which has 240HP)..... so as per the engineers recommendations without even doing anything major u can find another 15HP just by adjusting the tuning .... i was very surprised that the guys were very keen to see people trick these out and get big power from them .... but as toyota being a manufacturer they needed to comply with emissions, noise laws yada yada yada

here's a full write up on the car http://www.tte.de/downloads/brochures/TTE/CORCOMP.pdf

i installed that TTE kit to my friend ts corolla year ago. Installing was not very easy thing compared to celicas greddy kit.

And main thing, power. Like said before it doesnt make much power, still it makes powercurve much better. Compared to celica with greddy kit corolla is soo much slower. That 225hp is crank power, so its something like 190 from wheels.

Kit comes with tte tuned new ecu, no intercooler, front mount oil cooler and sc of course.

A shop by the name of RCTS in Calgary Alberta, Canada actually sells and installs the tte s/c on 2zz-ge engines with an F-Con V-pro. They installed it on a lotus elise and made 198whp at an altitude of 3700ft. The s/c only boosts 5.3lb to be exact and does NOT come with an intercooler. In my opinion, you would be better off purchasing a greddy s/c and using a Pfc or some sort of stand alone which should produce more gains. Or you could go blitz s/c like I did.
