Hello, I have a 2000 Toyota Celica GTS with about 130,000 miles. I'm new to this so don't kill me. My car will crank but will not want to start at all, at first it would start after a WHILE of cranking it but now, nothing. I've installed a brand new coil pack and spark plugs, a new throttle body, and a new fuel pump the other day and nothing is working. It's been sitting for almost a month and I have no ride for school or work so it's getting pretty frustrating and help would be much appreciated.

what do you think that is going to do to help?

OP, you need to verify that you are getting spark and fuel.

take the plugs out and plug them into the coils, watch them spark. while someone is cranking check your injectors and verify they are spraying.

ts possible that your crank position sensor is dead, that will prevent you from running.

Iforgot to put oil in the oil filter, it crank but won't start until I realized it and it starts right up.
That doesn't have anything to do with it not starting. Not filling up the filter would just cause no oil pressure the first time you start it...for like one-two seconds.

My bet is the crank sensor.

Besides fuses check the EFI relay too. I had one case where a customer's Celica refused to start, swapped over a relay from the FAN1 to EFI and it started right up. Told him to get another relay and put it in FAN1.

Hey guys, so I had my neighbor check it out since he's a hardcore mechanic all his life fixing everything and it had something to do with a bad sensor and i noticed my cars temperature gauge not working for a little while but thought nothing of it and i guess it was sending mixed signals and because of that it wouldn't let it start? Doesn't sound right but i changed the sensor and its starting now but thanks for the help guys

well what I do with all intake manifolds I take a rubber hose to ( 1 ) of the intake lines, I put a funnel on the hose, I put a small amount of gas.. in the funnel, then I crank the engine, if it starts.. then I know I have a fuel problem, if it doesn't start, then I know I have a ( spark ) problem I seen cars, trucks gas, diesel die from a ( $ 5.00 ) five dollar part
