haha thats funny. When i test drove the celica, all the dealership had was auto GTS. I came in asking im looking for a 6 speed GTS, and the guy said we got a GTS. When i looked at it, im like this is auto and this was funny.....the guy said it better than manual! he said you can drive it like manual and you can have the luxury of auto...im was about to crack up on this dude.

I know the automatic transmission is slower, etc, but it is a H22. I don't know, I just want to hear some insight from all you veteran Celica owners.

I were racing (from stop, ~ 1/4 distance) with H22A Prelude (AT) yesterday. I won with ~1.5 car length.

its an auto, he can't bring up the rev's to launch, plus those have a lot of torq they spin the crap outa their tires off the line whenever they try racing me. youl own him hard imo

 

Dude you can beat that prelude no sweat.

I raced against a similar one but it was all modded out (i/h/e/ecu) w/ the "fake manual" tranny. My friend's car.

I ran 14.8 and he ran a low 16. It was pathetic, really.

p.s. I was on only i/e and I had a 00 GTS

 

what about an auto gt vs auto prelude? stock for stock. or an auto integra ls?
