Had the car in for other work and tossed these at the Service Writer. They billed me for 2.4 or 2.8 hours (sorry, don't recall).

WOW do you feel every engine vibration afterwards! The steering wheel is a constant vibration. I have new rattles behind the dash and in the passenger a-pillar.

Now, this engine has 201+K miles on it and is due for an oil change. But the difference is striking.

I did this mod as it was recommended to keep the engine from flexing towards the hood and I'm installing the DD Performance intake manifold.

I liked what new mounts did to my Evo. But this, so far, is unpleasant.

I've only driven her home from the shop, though. I've got my 100+ mile round-trip commute tomorrow and we'll see if I have any more to add to the review as miles mount and the new IM and parts go on.

i was thinking of getting these myself, but 2 things i hate most about cars is Weird sounds and vibrations, it irritates the life out of me!

let me know how it goes for you because i heard apart from the vibration, they are good? but in which way are they good?

it eliminates wheel hop, its more of a mod if you race a lot. for launching and stuff like that .

If its way too bad for your taste you can try to pull the rear one - the manifold will probably still be fine.

I'm not being a "punk" nor is it way too bad for me - for now. I assume it'll get a bit better and I'll do what's necessary to deal with it. Just putting my input on this mod out there.

Thanks for your input, however!

mine settled down. It didn't take too long.

here's a thought...if your dash buzz noises bother you then bump up your minimum idle set points on your pfc map.

in my car at 900 rpm there is some buzzing, but not at 1000.

Yeah, it'll fade away to a very light vibration later on.

The feel of the car afterwards is worth it, so just give it a couple weeks or so and see how you feel.

I assume the mechanics used some lithium or copper grease on the mating surfaces...?

From what I'm reading the idle will have to go up once that 3" intake goes on... heh.

My energy suspension motors mounts inserts are still waiting on my desk to be put on. I was a bit fearing the vibrations but i've heard so many good reviews about the product but several people told me that they get used to the vibration or they even like the ''sport feeling/stiffness'' coming from the inserts. I can't wait to put them up.

so wher do you guys get them im in the process of looking for some but havin really found anywher near ireland that does them so prob have to ship them from the states..

how much is it for the egine mounts all of them and which ones did yas go for the hyper flex or just teh standard ones

I was worse for me when I only has the front ones, lower freq but higher amplitude, actually rattled the hood.
+1. I actually had a solid front mount on my Celica (filled with epoxy putty and solid as a brick) and the hood squeaked like crazy at idle till I added tension with the two rubber bumpers up front. Throttle response was stupid crisp, though, totally amazing.

On a side note, I'm upgrading the engine mount inserts on my MR2 to full polyurethane replacements tonight. :) Should be interesting, since on the 2, I didn't really notice any increase in vibrations at all with the inserts.
